Even though we have come across feature rich templates for blogger like the Zinmag templates from Jinsona, the work template created for blogger but todays template by Amanda goes one notch ahead.
What makes this template special is a feature that is seen in most wordpress templates has finally been brought to Blogger. The featured section on this template is automated, all you have to do is assign the label "Featured" and voila the latest post with that label will be displayed in the Featured article section.
Just above the featured post section is the menu that spans the entire width of the blog, it ends with a subscribe button that links to your blogs feed automatically.
The post area is groovy as well, it has auto read more, it also pulls up and generates a thumbnail image from your blogs post. It also has a very nice hover on effect that highlights the entire post summary and elements of the mini post as you can see the red highlight below. The colors of this as well can be easily customized.
The template ends with a bang, featuring a very powerful footer section, two rows that are widget enabled and a column that has built in social media icons like facebook, twitter etc.
The other row has a section where you could either have an about me or give your visitors a description of your blog!

The header is quite long due to the jazzy image, you can add your blog title on its right and below that is the menu bar for your categories, that blends with the theme.
There is a 3 column box placed right below the header that gives you sufficient space to display your content. So you can use that for Recent Posts, comments, labels etc.
The single rounded column has the date stamp on top, whearas the labels, comments, author and time stamp is at the bottom of the post. The column is broad enough to add images as well in your post. Since the background image is heavy, it takes time to load the first time.
After you download the template, make sure you upload all the images of the theme on a image-sharing site of your choice. You can refer to our video tutorial to upload the images from the xml file and changing the image urls in Edit Html.

A wonderful theme for photo blogger, as you can see only the photograph thumbnails are displayed on the main page. People can browse through your site with the help of labels and even that display is the same.
A user can expand the photo by clicking on it, since this template makes use of a similar javascript as the Photografia template as well as get back to the thumbnail mode by clicking on the expanded image.
The template comes with a fully functional three column footer where you can add widgets of your choice or even some more categories or a tag cloud.

There are very few single column blogger templates, so when a different one comes by I am overjoyed to put it up on the blog. Today we have the Tiny Studio template that was created byPelangi Petang Productions for wordpress and ported to blogger by Zona Cerebral, lets see what this 1 column template has to offer!
Most of the single column templates are used for photoblogs, though this one has more of a diary style theme, perhaps its because of the background image in the post of the notepad and pencil. Apart from that this template has some artwork in the background, the grass and plants that kick start the top of the design, some grass also finds it way to the end of the main column ending the design.
A header banner can be easily put in, and under that we have the navigation menu that has a hover on colour change. The Post header has a darkened colour, a prominent post date with the labels under the headline. The Author name and the comment count are below the post. Most single column templates have interesting footers, this skin has its footer divided into two columns, recent posts and a blog roll.
Each entry in the footer widgets comes with a neat icon besides it, that makes it quite interesting. Its nice to see a new single column layout with a structure that is not an exact structural copy as most of them end up being. If you like it you can download it from the link below :)

An addition to the single column template section after quite a while, thanks to Our Blog Templateswho have created this original photo blog template for blogspot users.
Photoblog templates for blogger are difficult to find, this one is not so much of a photoblog template as it is a single column template. It would require to have many more features to make it a full fledged photo template, but till one of those appear lets see what this template has to offer.
The blog title is on the top left of the blog while the description finds itself on the right hand side. Theres place for an entire image to be placed in the header without any text on it as the navigational menu appears under it.
The best part of this template is that its wide enough to have a high resolution photograph show on it. Author, comments and labels are at the bottom of the post while the date stamp is just above the headline.
Yes that's a beautiful footer divided into three columns, although this can be found for most of the single column templates on blogspot now.

Here's a new blogger theme called Dark Forest, created by an Indian company Ray Creations. They seem to be relatively new in the designing field, but they have created some interesting bloggertemplates.
As the name suggests, Dark Forest is a 2 column template with nature as its main theme. The header has a beautiful landscape picture, where you can add your blog title and description. On the top right corner there is space to add your Comments and Posts RSS.
The two columns appear on a blue background with floral designs on top, and then the main column has a white background, on top of the blue. Next to the post headline is a neat calender icon for the date, and below it is the labels and comments icon.
The sidebar, which has a brownish background, starts with a search box and its designed in a way like its clipped to the sidebar. Then you can add the section you like, the default ones are welcome note, archives and labels. Each headline has a flowery design as its icon that looks quite pretty.
If you have a personal blog or a nature blog, then you might want to consider using this theme.

Originally designed by MB Web Design, Acid rain is a 2 column template ported to blogger byCahaya Biru.
The extremely colorful header is the main highlight of this template, streaks of purple, red, green and yellow on balck background makes it look attractive. You can add the blog title and the description comes on the extreme rght of the header, there is no navigation menu, so you can fit in the main features in the sidebar.
The main column, which is transparent on top, starts with the post headline and below that date and time stamp, author name while the labels and comments appear at the bottom of the post.
In the sidebar column you have the search box on top, followed by about me section and then you can place rest of the blog content. Acid rain is a simple template, which can be used for an art blog or maybe a personal web page!

Once again a design by Jinsona has been ported to blogger by Cahaya, except that its a light version of the wordpress theme Androida.
Unlike the wordpress version the template does not feature the slider on top nor does the theme have the three large miniposts displayed on the homepage. Another attractive feature is the hover on effect for the menu bar just under the header.
So the Androida template for blogger features the same look with the header and same functions as the footer. The menu bar is placed below the header and then comes a two column mini post section in the main post area.
The side bar on the left has nothing out of the blue, starts off with a search bar and breaks up into two columns making this theme fall in the four column template category.
The footer is widget enabled and allows you to add your own or use the existing widgets, overall this turns out to be a simple four column theme that you can easily customize the header to suit your blogs theme.
